Maybelline Colour Tattoo "Painted Purple" Review/swatches/photos

Maybelline color tattoo cream eyeshadow is know for its vibrancy and high longevity. I'm currently owning electric blue, gold rush and gold mine. Those eyeshadows were pretty impressive, so I'm adding this violet purple one to my collection.
You might have acknowledged that I love wearing purple makeup if you were keeping up with my Instagram. I found it's hard to obtain vibrant colour out of regular eyeshadows -meaning powder eyeshadows- because powder tends too fall off or my skin tone counteracts the intensity of colour. However, generally creme shadows cover up my skin rather than blending into my skin. Thus, Creme shadows stay true to the colour we can see in their cases.

Painted purple is violet purple shade with a shimmery finish. Unlike other products in the colour tattoo range, it is a bit sheer and patchy. I haven't put it on the eyes yet, so I don't know how it would perform on eyes. Hopefully it will bring the effect that I expected.

Pros:
-high longevity
-affordable price

Cons:
-faded look
-dry and patchy
-sheer pigmentation

Grade: C+ I disappointed :/

Mini Drug Store Lipstick Haul: REVLON Colorburst Lip Butter "Wild Watermelon" & REVLON Super Lustrous Lipstick "Black Cherry" Review/Swatches/Photos

Hey guys! So buying the products I'm posting today was completely impulsive. I was just hanging out with my friend at the mall, and we 'accidentally' *cough* entered a drug store in the mall. Like I always do, I started to inspect aisle to aisle, and these lipsticks are the result of my indulgence. (I also bought a creme eyeshadow from Maybelline. I'll post it soon after I publish this post)

REVLON colorburst lip butter "Wild watermelon"

Revlon lip butter is described as "a gel formula that provides super-charged hydration and glides on buttery smooth." So it gives you not only comfortable feelings on your lips, but also pretty shine.

REVLON super lustrous lipstick "Black cherry"

Revlon offers four different fishes-crème, matte, pearl, and shine-within their super lustrous lipstick range. Black cherry has a creme finish. It leaves intense colour and good hydration.

I personally like its case. It looks very chic and high-end.

Wild watermelon is a murky pink. It does remind me of the colour of a watermelon (the part you eat, not the rind). Since it is more like a lip balmy product, it doesn't have super intense colour pay-off that you may expect when you see it in the case. It goes well with pretty much every makeup look. Currently my go-to lipstick! So pretty.

Pros:
-pretty colour!
- very comfortable on lips
-can go with every look

Cons:
-wears off easily (low staying power)

Grade: A

Black cherry is a dark berry colour. It's perfect for a vampy look. I'm waiting for fall to rock this one.

Pros:
-hydrating
-chic and sophisticated packaging
-decent colour pay off

Cons:
-tends to be a bit patchy

Grade: B+

Smoked Cherry Makeup Tutorial (Too Faced Chocolate Bar)

Too Faced Chocolate Bar is a very versatile palette that you can create everyday neutral looks to hot smokey looks. I did something that could be placed on the middle point between those two categories-A smoked cherry makeup look!
I mainly used this gorgeous reddish brown shade called 'cherry cordial' from Chocolate Bar eyeshadow collection. That burgundy tint on your eyes would give you a subtly sexy look. I also revamped the look by adding some gold ('creme brulee') on the inner corner of my eyes.

Urban Decay Vice2 Palette Review/Swatches/Photos

If you have been keeping up with my YouTube or Instagram, then you would probably know how much love I have for this bad boy.

How sophisticated!

Before we start, can we take a moment and stare at the packaging? HOW GORGEOUS IS THIS? I love the mysterious patterns on the case, the purple-violet colour, the popped up crystal UD logo, and...idk everything about this palette... It has hands down the best packaging among all the eyeshadow palettes in my makeup collection. Not only does it have a refined design, but also the case is very sturdy. It's totally travel-safe, and...

It even has an automatic opening! All you have to do is to press a button.

 Urban Decay Vice2 Palette

The eyeshadows in the palette is a good mix of jewel toned shadows and neutral shadows. As you can see in the picture the very bottom row consists of neutral brown colours-champagne to sparkly brown. The colour radar and derailed  are nice brown colours as well. Other than those shadows, every eyeshadow has bright hue-pink, blue, yellow, green and purple!

Insane pigmentation

Dope-Toxic-Habit-Ambush-Rewind

Dope and Habit are the perfect highlighting colours.
Toxic gives you the most beautiful subtle peach glow.
I don't reach for ambush and rewind as much as I do for other shades in the palette just because they don't complement my skintone, but they are pretty much basic cool browns. Rewind could come in handy because it has a matte finish.

Radar-Damaged-Voodoo-Betrayal-Detailed

I'll have to say this is my favorite row. Especially Voodoo and Betrayal is a must whenever I do a purple makeup look.

Prank-Madness-Strike-Stash-Poison

Prank and Madness are just bombs. I've never seen this much pigmented eyeshadows in true blue.
Poison is a very interesting colour. It's hard to describe it, but I think it's a black with a bit of green sheen. Unfortunately my camera couldn't capture that subtle sheen.

Pros:
-Such a nice case
-automatic opening?!
-I LOVE EVERY SINGLE SHADE IN THIS PALETTE. I DON'T CARE IF I CAN PULL THEM OFF OR NOT
-Insane pigmentation

Cons:
-Too awesome
-Maybe price. However, I personally think that Urbandecay does a reasonable job setting price on their products, considering their qualities.
